To address this problem, we developed WaterTite masonry water repellant. A unique blend of siloxanes allows WaterTite to repel water for up to 10 years and at the same time allow the masonry to breathe. Siloxanes are special in that once applied to a masonry surface, they are small enough to absorb deep into the pores of the masonry. When exposed to the ultraviolet light of the sun, these siloxanes form strong bonds with the silica found in masonry. The benefit of being 100% vapor permeable is that any trapped moisture is allowed to escape the structure.
